SXR and SHR Models
For 1997, Cruisair is introducing new models of StowAway self-contained
reverse-cycle air conditioning systems, utilizing rotary compressors instead of
reciprocating compressors. These new systems offer quieter operation, lighter weight and
lower starting and running power requirements.
The new StowAway rotary units do not replace the standard reciprocating compressor
StowAways, which will continue to be offered for the foreseeable future.
The introduction of the rotary-based StowAways follows a lengthy period of
testing and evaluation by Cruisair's engineering staff.
The StowAway rotary models are available in 7,000, 10,000, 12,000 and
16,000 BTU/hr capacities, in 115V and 230V, 60 and 50 Hz models. They have the same
dimensions as standard StowAway models, but are somewhat lighter in weight. |
