1. Information you need to collect prior to choosing a new propeller.
    
     Know the size of your current propeller.
     Know your RPM Range.
     Know your full throttle RPM's.
     Know your engine's horsepower and model year.

2. General Rules in propeller selection

Pitch Change Rules

    Changing the pitch of the propeller will affect it's performance. In many cases, the diameter will           change slightly (unless it is changing more than an inch, the performance will not be affected.)
  
        Increasing pitch 2":
            a. lose between 200-400 RPM's at wide open throttle
            b. increase top end speed (provided you are still running within your RPM range)
            c. hole shot will be sacrificed somewhat.

        Decreasing pitch 2":
            a. gain between 200-400 RPM's at wide open throttle
            b. decrease top end speed
            c. hole shot will be improved

Cupped Propellers

    Decrease RPM's
    Better top end speed
    Better Hole Shot

Pulling Skiiers, tubes etc.

    Decrease the pitch of your propeller if you are having problems pulling up skiers, tubers etc.

High Altitude

    In most cases, if you take your boat to a high altitude, you will need to purchase a propeller with 2"     less pitch than your current propeller.
