| Heavy Duty Marine Horns and Whistles
These
Kahlenberg Signals were developed to withstand the punishing use of commercial and
military service. Their durability has been demonstrated over decades of service on
ocean-going vessels ranging from naval warships to shrimp boats. Military specifications
have required extensive testing for many of these whistles and the accessories supplied
with them, which have proven the exceptional qualities of Kahlenberg design and
manufacturing. |

| Chimetone Airhorns for Yachts
Kahlenberg Chimetone models all utilize more than one projector or
"trumpet" in their design. These projectors each produce a different fundamental
frequency which combine to produce powerful, distinctive, musical chords. To hear a
Kahlenberg Chimetone Airhorn is to realize that the sound of a vessel can be one of it's
most impressive aspects.
Unlike many airhorns manufactured today, the critical surfaces within a
Kahlenberg Airhorn are machined to exacting tolerances. This results in an extremely
audible, consistent frequency, never requiring tuning or adjustments of any kind.
The "Chimetone" Horns shown represent the different variations
available. Except for Model D-0A, Models D through F are available with or without manual
valve, manual/electric combination valve, or optional whistle lights installed. Also,
models D through F are available in 5 different diaphragm sizes. These sizes are as

Kahlenberg Air/Steam Whistles
Kahlenberg whistles are designed to operate on 50 to 200 P.S.I. air or steam pressure.
The diameter of piping from air receiver or steam source to the whistle must be large
enough to maintain at least 50 P.S.I. at the base of the whistle. Whistles are of cast
bronze construction with one piece polished brass bell. Integrated manual air or steam
valves are available as well as air strainers and additional accessories. Chrome plating
is also available. |
